Combined EDXC Conference/ DSWCI Annual General Meeting 2012

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and DX-Camp will be held in Germany for the first time in 55 years on June 01-03, 2012. It will be held at Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf  in the Dübener Heide natural preserve, 23 km east of Dessau, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. Website: http://www.duebener-heide.com . We hope, that many of our members will attend.

So far 22 DSWCI members from 11 countries are planning to attend this big event!

 At the same time the European DX Council (EDXC) has decided to hold its annual Conference at the same Hotel on May 30-June 04, 2012. This gives everybody a big chance to attend both events, either in total or just for a few days. The EDXC Conference is organized by Harald Gabler, Robert Kipp and Bernhard Hein.

 Accomodation at Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf: Special price “EDXC-2012” per person per night including breakfast is 33,00 Euro in a double room or 48,00 Euro in a single room. If all rooms at Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf become occupied by DX-ers, other accomodation will be found in the neighbourhood.

It is important, that you register as soon as possible and not later than April 30, 2012. To book accomodation, please send an e-mail to Dr. Harald Gabler at DrGabler@t-online.de with copies to Bernhard Hein at info@funkverlag.de and to me at anker.petersen@mail.dk  .

 Text:“I wish to book accomodation at EDXC-2012. My full name is ...... and I am a DSWCI member. I want a singleroom or a doubleroom shared together with ...... (your spouse or another DX-er). I arrive on (date) and depart on (date).”

Preliminary programme for the EDXC Conference 2012 at Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf

May 30, Wednesday:     Arrival at the Hotel.

May 31, Thursday  1000: Excursion to Woerlitz - duration at least 3 hours. Price 25 Euro.

                                    1500-1800: Lectures.

June 1, Friday          1000-1200: EDXC Matters.

                                    1500: Excursion to Wittenberg including the Church of Martin Luther. Price 25 Euro.

                                    Evening hours : Presentation Receiver / Antenna.

               Listening to the radio, conversations, to see a film

              Alternative programmes for the ladies.

June 2, Saturday   1000-1300: Excursion to Bauhaus in Dessau plus Meisterhaeuser. Price 25 Euro.

                                    1500-1700: DSWCI Annual General Meeting.

                                    1700: Lecture.

                                    1930: Banquet Dinner. Price 25 Euro.

June 3, Sunday      1000-1300: 2 Lectures.

                                    Afternoon: Radio transmission on shortwave through Sitkunai transmitter.

             Evening: Panel discussion about the Future of the Shortwave with Wolf Harranth, Anker

             Petersen and Manfred Boehm.

June 4, Monday  Leaving the EDXC-Hotel and we can visit Radio- and Funktechnik-Museum
                                  Königswusterhausen.

Conference prices per person:

Use of the conference room and lectures:  25 Euro.

Your participation including excursions and banquet dinner has to be paid to Dr. Harald Gabler upon your arrival.

You do not have to pay the Conference fee, if you only attend our AGM Saturday afternoon.
